Registration Information

Registration Fees, Procedures and Payment Options
Due to the popularity of the course, it is strongly recommended that you register early. At the time of registration you will be placed in a class and you will be provided with a confirmation slip acknowledging placement. If your class choice is unavailable, you will be placed on a waiting list. In the event that you cannot be placed, the full registration fee will be returned. At the time of registration, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is due.

Bursaries
A limited number of financial assistance bursaries are available for our Community Music Education Program. In order to be considered for a bursary you must register your child in the program and fill in an application form.

Full Payment Option
Registration Fees may be paid in full by cheque, VISA, MasterCard or American Express. $50 is non-refundable.

Installment Payment Option
Payment can be made in 3 installments by post-dated cheques: November 1, and February 1. First payments which include the deposit is due at time of registration. All post-dated cheques must be provided at the time of registration.

Post-dated payment is rounded off to the nearest whole dollar amount. Please note: post-dated cheques are for your convenience only and their amount is not based upon the number of classes remaining in the program.

Sibling Discount
A reduction of $30 per sibling in the program will be deducted from the class fee. This amount will either be deducted from the August 1st cheque or from the full class registration fee (if payment is in full rather than by installments).

Withdrawal Policy - Community Music Education Program

Below are the withdrawal policies for our Community Music Education Program as well as our
Sibling Policy and information on Parking. Please make sure that you read and understand
this information.


Withdrawal Policy for Parenting with Music:
There will be no refunds processed after the first week of the program. The tuition amount
less a $20.00 administration fee will be returned to the participant. Non-attendance does not
constitute notice of withdrawal. Registration receipt must be returned to the Registration
Office, University of Saskatchewan, Rm. 237 Williams Building, 221 Cumberland Ave. N.,
Saskatoon SK S7N 1M3 if refund is requested. The University of Saskatchewan reserves
the right to cancel any program in the event of insufficient registration.


Withdrawal Policy for Music in Early Childhood:
Full registration fee minus $50.00 will be returned for participant cancellation occurring no
later than one week prior to class commencement. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of
withdrawal. The Parent/Guardian is responsible for the FULL year's tuition. No refunds will be
processed for individual classes missed. Withdrawal deadline is 30 days from the first day of
your first class. No refund will be processed after this time. Registration receipt must be
returned
to the Registration Office, University of Saskatchewan, Rm. 237 Williams Building,
221 Cumberland Ave. N., Saskatoon SK S7N 1M3 if refund is requested. Deposit and cost of
four weeks of lessons will be charged. Special consideration may be given in extenuating
circumstances. The University of Saskatchewan reserves the right to cancel any program in
the event of insufficient registration.


Withdrawal and Missed Lesson Policy for Instrument/Voice

  1. Student absences does not constitute rescheduled lessons, credits or refunds
  2. If the teacher cancels a lesson, the lesson will either be rescheduled or, if not possible, the
    tuition for that lesson will be refunded at the end of the specified year. If the student fails
    to show for an agreed rescheduled lesson time, the lesson is forfeited.

Regarding termination of lessons:

  1. One months written notice (or fees) is required to terminate lessons. Once written notice
    and your original receipt has been received by the Community Music Education Program
    Manager, payment for a four lesson withdrawal period is required, whether the lessons are
    taken or not. The balance of tuition will be refunded after the withdrawal period.
  2. There are NO refunds to students withdrawing after December 31st in the year you
    registered.
The University of Saskatchewan reserves the right to cancel any program in the event of
insufficient registration.


SIBLING POLICY:
To ensure the best possible experience for you and your child, please do not bring siblings to

PARKING: There is a charge for meter parking Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturdays there is no charge at the meters at the Williams Building. DO NOT PARK IN
SERVICE STALLS AT ANY TIME AS YOU WILL BE TICKETED. NOTE: PARKING PASSES
